Rentor Stays is where you book furnished homes by the night — for a weekend in Nyali, a work trip to Nairobi, or a month between houses. Browsing is free and open to everyone.

Search for a stay

1. Open "Stays" in the header, or the "Search for a stay" door on the home page.
2. In the search bar, type where you're going — "Where to? (town, estate)".
3. Pick your check-in and check-out dates.
4. Enter how many guests are coming.
5. Tap "Search".

The results show how many stays match, along with your dates. Your dates and guest count carry over when you open a listing, so the price you see is for your actual trip.

Narrow it down

• "Max / night" — type a nightly budget to hide anything above it.
• Sort — "Recommended", "Price: low to high", or "Price: high to low".
• Tap "Show more" at the bottom to load more results.
• "☆ Save this search" keeps your place, dates, guests and budget, and can alert you when a new stay matches — see Saved searches & favourites.

If you see "No stays match yet", try different dates or a wider area.

The map

When the stays in your results have a location, a map sits above the cards with a price pin for each one. It is a real map — drag it to move, scroll or pinch to zoom — and hovering a card lights up its pin, so you can see at a glance which places are near the beach and which are a matatu ride away.

Prefer video? The "Video mode" button opens Discover on the Stays lane with your search carried over.

Reading a stay card

Each card shows:

• A photo and the stay's name.
• A ★ rating once guests have reviewed it.
• The town and county.
• The size — for example 2 bd · 3 beds · up to 4 guests.
• The price — KES … / night.

And up to two badges:

• Instant book (⚡ Instant in the app) — you can book and pay right away, with no waiting for the host to approve.
• Verified — the place has passed Rentor's verification checks.

The heart in the corner of a card saves the stay to your shortlist.

Hosts keep 100%

There's no Rentor commission on your booking. What you pay goes straight to the host, and you deal directly with them — Rentor handles the booking, the payment prompt and the receipts.

Open a stay to see the full details — house rules, cancellation policy, reviews and a live price breakdown — then reserve it. The whole flow is covered in Booking & paying for a stay.

On the phone app: open Listings (Explore if you're a tenant) and tap Stays on the Rentals | Stays | Student switch — or More → Stays from any role. The search and booking flow are the same; results sort by Recommended, Cheapest, Most expensive or Newest. The map button opens Stays on a map: drag to move, pinch to zoom, then tap Search this area to see what's there.
