For service providers
Your schedule & time off
The Schedule page puts your whole working life on one calendar — client bookings, assigned maintenance jobs and your time off — and lets you tell Rentor when you actually work, so clients only book times you can honour.
The calendar
The month view marks each day with small dots:
- A teal dot — a client booking scheduled that day.
- An amber dot — a maintenance job due that day (shown by its SLA date; emergencies carry a red Emergency tag).
- A grey dot with shading — time off you have blocked.
Tap any day to see its agenda: each booking with its time, each maintenance job marked Due, and any time off with its reason. Use the arrows to move between months and Today to jump back.
Weekly working hours
Under Weekly working hours, set the hours you normally take jobs:
- Tick the days you work.
- Set the opening and closing time for each day (closing must be after opening).
- Leave a day unticked to mark it Closed.
- Tap Save working hours.
Time off
Going up-country, on leave, or booked solid off-platform? Block it out under Time off:
- Pick From and To (date and time).
- Add a short Reason if you like — e.g. On leave.
- Tap Block time.
Blocked dates show as unavailable to clients. Remove a block any time with Remove.
How this changes what clients can book
Your hours and time off are not just for show — they guard your bookings:
- Clients booking a provider who has set hours pick from your real free slots, and your directory card shows a Next available time — a genuine edge over providers who leave clients guessing.
- Rentor refuses booking requests that clash with your time off, your closed days, or a slot you already have booked — no double-bookings.
- If you have not set any working hours, nothing is blocked: clients can propose any time, and it is on you to accept or decline. Setting hours is optional, but it saves you the back-and-forth.
Times work on Kenyan time, as you would expect.
On the phone app: Schedule has its own tab in the bar at the bottom of the screen, with the same calendar, working-hours editor and time-off manager. For time off, pick the from and to dates, then leave Whole day on to close the dates out completely, or switch it off to block only certain hours.
Your calendar works hand in hand with Getting booked for client work and Maintenance jobs from landlords for assigned repairs.
