Sales team notices

The notice board is where the Rentor sales team speaks to every rep at once: campaign pushes, pricing updates, new materials, targets for the month.

Where to find it

  • Web — Notices, under Team in your menu.
  • App — the Team notices card on your Overview tab, or More → Team notices.

How delivery works

When a notice is published, every active rep gets a notification — including a push alert on your phone if you have the app installed and notifications on.

Notices you have not opened yet carry a New badge and are counted as unread. Opening a notice is what marks it read for you — there is no separate button — and the count falls as you catch up. Read state is per person: your reading a notice changes nothing for anyone else.

Pinned notices stay at the top of the board regardless of age. If something is pinned, the team wants it in front of you every time you look.

Reacting, commenting and polls

On the web, an open notice is a conversation, not just an announcement:

  • React with the + button — a thumbs up, a thumbs down or one of the other emoji. One reaction per person per notice; tap yours again to take it back, or change to swap it.
  • Comment in the box under the notice. Everyone on the team sees comments, the staff who posted the notice included, so a question asked here gets one answer for everybody. You can delete your own comments.
  • Vote in a poll when the team attaches one, or tap Add poll to ask the team something yourself. Votes are counted, never shown against a name — not to other reps, not to the person who asked, not to staff.

Two things are private by design. A thumbs down is never shown to the rest of the team: only Rentor's sales staff see it. And nowhere does the board show how many people are on it or who is online.

In the app, a notice opens as text for now — react, comment and vote from the web. The same reactions, comments and polls are on The wall, which the app does carry: see The wall — the sales team's forum.

When to take it private

A comment is in front of the whole team. For anything about you in particular — your areas, your terms, a prospect you are unsure how to handle — use your private supervisor line instead: see Messaging your supervisor.
