How everything works.

Every feature explained properly — for tenants, landlords, agencies, hosts and service providers.

For hosts

Host reports & earnings

Hosting money flows in two directions, and your reports respect that: one statement for what comes in, one for what goes out. Two clean documents, never blended into one blurry number.

Two statements, on purpose

Open Reports as a host and you will find:

  • Host earnings statement — everything paid to you: guest payments on your short stays and rent from your subtenants. This is your income statement.
  • Lease payments statement — everything you paid to the landlords you lease from through Rentor, month by month, with the receipt reference for each payment.

Rentor deliberately does not net these into a single profit figure. Each statement covers one stream, attributed to the person it actually flowed to — which is exactly what a clean tax and accounting picture needs. Want your own profit view? Read the two side by side; each statement explains its own tax attribution in plain words.

Getting the documents

Like every Rentor report, both statements come with:

  1. An on-screen preview.
  2. A CSV download for your spreadsheet.
  3. A print-ready PDF for your records, your accountant, or your files.

Your lease payments carry their receipt numbers, so every shilling you paid upstream is evidenced — the receipts themselves live with each bill on Lease bills.

Your reputation — the other thing you are building

Alongside the money, hosting builds a number that earns you the next booking: your host rating.

It pools both kinds of feedback a host earns:

  • Guest reviews from completed short stays — revealed through the double-blind review flow (see Reservations & guest reviews).
  • Subtenant ratings from your long-term sublets — because for those tenancies you are the landlord-of-record, your subtenants rate you.

The two are combined as a weighted average, so a host with many stay reviews is not swung wildly by a single sublet rating. And if you also happen to be a landlord on the same account, the two reputations stay separate — your host rating is built only from what you did as a host.

Your pooled rating shows on your Host overview, on your public host card that guests see, and on your phone under More → My reputation. To read the reviews themselves, open Reviews (under Insights on the web).

A simple monthly habit

  1. Open Host earnings — confirm every stay and sublet payment you expected has landed.
  2. Open Lease payments — confirm your own rent went out and every payment has its receipt.
  3. Download both PDFs and file them. Five minutes, and your records are audit-ready.

On the phone app: More → Reports & Insights → Reports carries your earnings and lease statements, and Reviews sits beside it; your rating is on the Home tab.
