Build the rent rail for Kenya

Rentor App LTD is growing fast, and we are looking for young, enthusiastic people to grow with us.

We are building the rent rail for Kenya

Rentor App LTD is a Kenyan property-technology company. We built Rentor because renting here still runs on WhatsApp screenshots, handwritten receipts and "trust me" — and none of that survives a dispute. Today the platform verifies homes before they are listed, collects rent straight over M-Pesa, issues a receipt for every shilling, and keeps landlords, agencies, caretakers, hosts and tenants working from the same ledger.

Where we are going

We started with listings. We now run payments, leases, maintenance, short stays, KRA-ready compliance and a services marketplace — and we are only just getting to the parts we are most excited about. Every quarter the surface area grows, which means the work here is genuinely unfinished in the best way: there is room to own something real, quickly.

Who we are looking for

Young, hungry, unreasonably curious people. We would rather hire someone who has shipped something scrappy on their own than someone who has only ever followed a spec. If you notice broken things and cannot leave them alone, if you like the idea of your work being used by a landlord in Nakuru and a tenant in Nyali on the same afternoon, you will fit here.

We hire for judgement and appetite over credentials. Tell us what you have built, what broke, and what you did about it.

How we work

Four things we actually mean

Ship, then polish

A landlord in Nakuru is waiting on the thing you are building. We get it in front of them, watch what breaks, and fix it in daylight.

Own the whole problem

Nobody here hands work over a wall. You will follow your feature from the first sketch to the receipt it prints for a tenant.

Built for Kenya, properly

M-Pesa, KRA, county estates, Swahili-English in one sentence. We build for how renting actually works here, not a translated template.

Small team, real weight

You will not be the fifth person on a feature. You will be the person on it — with people around you who want you to get it right.

Open roles

No open roles right now

We are not advertising anything this minute — but we are growing, and that changes often.
