Adding a tenant's bill
When a water, electricity or garbage bill arrives for one of the units you look after, you can put it in front of the landlord without a phone call: open Bills & meters in your menu and switch to the Tenant bills tab (on the phone: More → Work → Tenant bills). The Meter readings tab beside it is the monthly meter walk; both jobs live on the same page.
Adding one
- Tap Add a bill and pick the unit. You'll see unit names only, never the tenant's name or their rent; the landlord's side has those.
- Say what the bill is for: water, electricity, garbage, and so on.
- Key the amount exactly as it appears on the bill, and the month it's for.
- Snap the bill. A clear photo of the whole bill, or the PDF if it came as one. This is required: it's what the landlord checks your number against, and the tenant sees it too.
- Add a note if it helps ("KPLC account ending 4567", "shared meter, split three ways"), then tap Send to the landlord.
The bill shows as Waiting for approval in your list until the landlord acts on it. Once they approve it, it shows On the rent bill. If you keyed the wrong unit or amount, tap Withdraw while it's still waiting and add it again.
What happens next
The landlord gets a nudge that bills are waiting, checks each one against your photo, and approves it onto the tenant's rent, or declines it. You don't need to do anything else. Bills that were already approved can only be removed by the landlord.
Meter readings are different: if the landlord bills water or electricity by the unit from their own meters, you key the reading rather than a bill, on the Meter readings tab of the same page. See Recording meter readings.
