For service providers
Ratings & reputation
Your rating is the number clients weigh before they hire. On Rentor it is earned, live and honest — built only from real, completed work.
How you get rated
Maintenance jobs. After a job you were assigned is closed, the landlord who managed it — or the tenant of the home you fixed — can rate you. They have a 7-day window after the job closes, and they score three things:
- Quality — was the work done well?
- Timeliness — did you come and finish when you said you would?
- Professionalism — how you carried yourself on the job.
Each is a star score, with an optional comment; your overall score for that job is the average of the three. A rater can edit their rating within the window.
Client bookings and orders. When you mark a job completed or an order delivered, the client is asked to rate it, and Rentor reminds them once a day later. They have a 14-day window. They give overall stars, and can add:
- Scores for the details — Quality, Punctuality, Communication and Value for a service; On time, As described, Communication and Value for a delivered order.
- A comment.
- Up to 3 photos.
These reviews are public. They appear under Reviews on your public page and on the page of the item that was booked or ordered, each marked Verified booking or Verified order, with the item, the area and the month. The client appears by first name and last initial only. Only someone who actually completed a booking or order with you can leave one.
Reviews about you are collected on your Ratings page, whoever they came from.
A live average, not a frozen one
Your average rating is recalculated every time a rating is added or changed — it is a live reflection of your track record, not a number typed in once. Alongside it, your jobs completed count grows with every closed job. Both show on your Overview and on your public profile.
Where your reputation shows
- On directory cards in both the landlord/agent directory and the home-services marketplace — clients compare ratings before opening profiles.
- On your public page, beside your headline, with the full Reviews section further down.
- On each catalogue item's page, with the reviews of that item.
- When a landlord picks a provider to assign, your rating is right there in the list.
- On your phone under More → My reputation.
A strong rating with a healthy jobs count is the best marketing you will ever have on Rentor — and it costs nothing but good work.
Trust points and tiers
Alongside stars, you build trust points — a total that never goes down. Every completed booking or delivered order earns 5 points, and property shoots earn more (see Property shoots & My shoots). Your total places you in a tier — Bronze, Silver (100+), Gold (300+) or Platinum (800+) — shown on your public page and on your Overview. Trust gives you a bounded lift in the directory ranking: it can move you above providers with a similar rating, and it is capped, so points alone cannot carry a poorly rated provider to the top.
If a rating is unfair
On your Ratings page, every review you have received has two options:
- Dispute this review — for a rating that is unfair or inaccurate about you. Say why and submit. While it is under review the rating is frozen and stops counting toward your average immediately, so your number is not dragged down while the matter is looked at.
- Report it — for a review that breaks the rules: abuse, hate, threats, someone's private details. That goes to our moderation team instead.
Growing a good reputation
- Acknowledge fast and keep the job thread updated with photos — landlords rate what they can see.
- Quote honestly and stick to it; surprises at billing time show up in professionalism scores.
- Finish inside the SLA shown on the job card; timeliness is a third of your score.
- Ask happy clients to rate you while the window is open — 7 days on a maintenance job, 14 days on a booking or order. After that the chance is gone.
- Sellers: give an honest arrival time and keep to it. On time is the first thing a customer scores on a delivery.
